  1. I just finished listening to Learning to See and I just wanted to tell you how much it meant to me. I am just starting to take the steps to try and get a photography business going, and I am asking myself so many of the questions you asked yourself and when you talk about feeling like a fraud? I felt like you were talking right to me. I am so insecure in myself, I feel like I have it but I wonder if others will?
This book was inspirational and informative, I couldn’t stop listening. You did an amazing job as the auditor, I was very entertained by you and your voice is very easy to listen to. I loved how the book was broke up into the specific sections about Photography. I was eager to learn about all of them but it will make it easier to reference back to in the future.
I have a full legal yellow notebook of notes from this book, you have filled me with a sense of confidence and hunger to get out there and push myself. This is something I have needed for a long time. I have been fighting an unknown illness causing me to start falling into disability. It’s making it harder and harder to do photography, I have had to let go of the hiking to the tops of mountain trips and settle for gentle walkways and more paved adventures. I had fallen into a very deep depression and was feeling a very strong sense of lose of self. I truly felt like I was losing who I was, I have had to give up almost everything that ever meant something to me, or at least change how I did it. I’m only 42 and I have to walk with a cane and I have terrible tremors and twitches, not ideal for a photographer right? But your book inspired me that there is still a way to do it, it’s what I love and want so I just need to work for it.
I’m sorry to go on and on about my troubles but I just want you to understand, your book has truly changed, and in some ways saved my life. This is the first time I have felt this good in several years, I don’t think I have ever felt this motivated! You have helped me believe in myself for the first time in my life. Thank you for all that you have given me, regardless of what happens with my business, my illness, my photography – You saved me from myself, I was full of self doubt and depression and I truly believe that God knew I needed your book in my life. It was like the sky opened for the first time in forever. Bless you and Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. You are an amazing and talented man among men.

Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get,
But we make a life by what we give.
